Lauren Pharr is a current Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Originally from a small town outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lauren has always had a dream to work with animals, however, she never knew those animals would be wildlife. Lauren is an Ornithologist who researches the effects of urbanization on avian morphology. She is also a Science Communicator; she loves to write blogs and informative pieces on birds and other wildlife topics. She is currently working towards becoming an Associate Wildlife Biologist and an NABC Certified Bird Bander. Her dream is to one day obtain a research position with either the US Fish and Wildlife Service or the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission.
